Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

This is the best homemade cinnamon rolls ever!! Taste just like professional cinnamon rolls from a bakery! Deliciously sweet gooey cinnamon rolls are perfect for birthdays, Mother's and Father's day breakfasts, Christmas morning and more! They are easy to make and taste better than Cinnabon! They can be prepared the night before and ready for the next morning!



Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 Cup warm milk (115°F)

  • 1 packet fast acting instant yeast

  • 2 eggs - room temperature

  • 1/3 cup salted butter- melted and cooled

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 4 cups all purpose flour


  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Filling

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter -almost melted

  • 1 cup light brown sugar

  • 2 TBSP Cinnamon

Frosting

  • 6 oz cream cheese - softened

  • 1/3 cup salted butter

  • 2 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2 TBSP Vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1: Combine dough ingredients: warm milk, instant yeast, eggs, butter, granulated sugar, salt, and flour

Step 2: Using a paddle, mix ingredients until just combined.

Step 3: Swap out the paddle to a dough hook and kneed dough on medium low speed for about 5-7 minutes. The dough will be very tacky.

Step 4: Place in a greased oil metal bowl and cover with a cloth.

Step 5: Let the dough rise for 1 hour covered in a warm place

Step 6: Mix Filling ingredients and set aside

Step 7: After 1 hour, roll the dough out on a floured surface to 24” x 15”

Step 8: Spread out filing on rolled out dough, Pre-heat oven at 375°F (350°F for a small oven)

Step 9: Tightly roll up the rough

Step 10: Cut into no more than 12 slices

Step 11: Place into a greased 9” x 13” baking pan, space in-between rolls is ok

Step 12: Cover rolls in 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Step 13: Cover pan with tin foil and bake in oven for 25 minutes

Step 14: While the rolls are cooking, add the cream cheese and butter to a mixing bowl and beat until very smooth.

Step 15: Add powdered sugar and vanilla whip until smooth, set aside.

Step 16: Uncover dish in oven and cook for 15 minutes more or until golden

Step 17: Pull out dish and let cool, cover with frosting & ENJOY!

****TIPS****

  1. To prepare the night before, make rolls up to Step 11, cover and place in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning, pull rolls out of refrigerator and let come to room temperature. Then follow the next steps from Step 12.

  2. When placing rolls in the pan to bake, don't worry if all the rolls do not touch each other, they will expand and cover the whole pan.
